Charles Bernstein’s 1-100, 1969


So much tension. A little bit of rhythm. Every number is screamed in what I imagine is the relative tension of turning each of these numbers in age. Eighty to ninety nine are screamed in increasing volumes and lengths and it must hurt to turn these ages as much as it hurts my ears to hear Bernstein scream them.
