Anti-Desktop Performance




The idea for my desktop performance is borrowed from an idea that Spencer Ratanavanh submitted to the Rituals issue of Adjacent that we were sadly not able to produce.


I wanted to produce something that portrayed how scattered and insane my desktop can be, but didn't know how to do this without also overwhelming and confusing the audience. Instead, I will flee my chaotic desktop and close every single window individually, presenting my live thought process as I close tabs and am prompted to save, until finally shutting down my computer.


To make the experience more fun, I will play a song at full volume that will play until the computer shuts down :)


One lovely consequence of this performance is that I won't be able to record the screen because the computer will not save an ongoing screen recording. Here's a recording of the performance:
